FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What if I miss the ITR due date?

You can still file a belated return up to 31 December 2026, but a late fee of up to ₹5,000 applies, and some losses cannot be carried forward. Filing early also gets your refund sooner.

Should I file ITR if my income is below the taxable limit?

Yes, it is a good idea. A filed ITR works as income proof for loans, visas and credit cards, and it is the only way to claim a refund of TDS deducted.

Which regime is better for me — old or new?

It depends on your deductions. We calculate your tax under both regimes and file under the one that saves you more.

How long does it take to get my refund?

Once your return is e-verified and processed by the department, refunds are usually credited within a few weeks directly to your pre-validated bank account.

I am a seafarer / NRI. Can you file my return?

Yes. We help determine your residential status, treat NRE salary correctly and file the right ITR form for you.
